莫妮卡- 李，目前居住在波士顿，是劳伦斯大学音乐学院小提琴演奏和钢琴教育学硕士研究生。莫妮卡-李成长在美国专业的古典音乐家庭，3岁开始师从北京中央音乐学院王莉莲教授学习钢琴演奏。搬到加州后，莫妮卡师从毕业于北京中央音乐学院小提琴专业的母親Nina Li 学习小提琴演奏，之后又加学了中提琴。莫妮卡-李的父親李达明是一位杰出的首席大提琴演奏家，莫妮卡为了追求更高境界的演奏艺术，常常寻求父亲的艺术指导。在校期间，她的許多課外活动都围绕着古典音乐表演；在专业求学过程中，她常参加各种音乐比赛活动，得过许多奖项；还受邀参加当地音乐厅的演出活动，先后效力于PSI，PSO和AWC等乐团。莫妮卡开设了NeoWave 音乐工作室，提供私人钢琴、小提琴和中提琴的教学。
    
莫妮卡用她珍贵的、制造于1706年的意大利小提琴，在波士顿中国音乐家协会举办的“泱泱国风-《红楼梦》全版主题歌曲音乐会”和“泱泱国风-《刘三姐》组曲”等音乐会中作为首席小提琴参加演出。

Biographyof Monica Li

Monica Li is an American violinist who grew up from a professional classicalmusicians' family. At age three she began a strict and rigorous musical journeyby taking piano lessons with Professor Lillian Wang at the Beijing CentralConservatory of Music. After moving to California, Monica began violin andlater on, viola lessons with her mother Nina Li, alumni of the Beijing CentralConservatory. During the school years, many of her extracurricular activitiesrevolved around classical music performance. She has played for orchestras suchas the PSI, PSO, and AWC Chinese orchestra. In the summer she would attend thesymf competitions in various musical styles consecutively placed first as wellas starring in performances hosted by local music venues. Ms. Li went on topursue a degree in violin performance and piano education from the LawrenceUniversity Conservatory of Music. For more than three decades, she hasdiligently sought artistic guidance from her father Daming Li, a distinguishedsoloist and principal cellist. Currently residing in the Greater Boston area,Monica is the artistic executive of NeoWave Studio, where she offers privatelessons for piano, violin and viola.
 
This spring,she will be starring in “The Sound of China: Music from the Dream of Red Chamber”with the Boston Chinese Musicians Association Orchestra as concertmaster,performing on her 1706 Italian violin.
